The Principality is an extremely small territory, with hotel capacity limited by geography itself. Grand Prix weekend concentrates international demand onto a space that cannot expand: availability tightens fast, and rates climb as the date approaches.
Monaco itself, or the neighbouring towns
Staying in Monaco means immediate proximity to the circuit, at a premium price and with availability that closes early. Neighbouring French towns — Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Beausoleil, Cap-d'Ail, or the wider Nice and Menton area — offer short journeys (often by regional train), more accessible rates, and availability that lasts longer.
